Three reasons to use PHP.
1. If you already have a website and are familiar with HTML, making the step to PHP is easy.
2. Interactive Features – PHP allows you to interact with your visitors in ways HTML alone can’t.
3. PHP is a lot easier to get started with than you might think.
PHP has so many functions and statements that are simple to learn, so simple that PHPers learn it pretty fast and forget about almost as quickly. Here is a great list of PHP reserved key words – http://www.php.net/manual/en/reserved.keywords.php
PHP is a terrific language for the rapid development of dynamic Websites. It also has many features that are friendly to beginning programmers, such as the fact that it doesn’t require variable declarations. However, many of these features can lead a programmer inadvertently to allow security holes to creep into a Web application. PHP can be as secure as any other language once you understand the basic types of flaws PHP applications tend to exhibit.
PHP is great for security issues. I try to code everything that I can with PHP (like validation), before I insert all the JavaScript bells and whistles. Reason being, because people can disable JavaScript which can then allow them to put anything they want into form applications.
-Pages dynamically created using successive Ajax requests do not automatically register themselves with the browser’s history engine, so clicking the browser’s “back” button may not return the browser to an earlier state of the Ajax-enabled page, but may instead return to the last full page visited before it.
-Dynamic web page updates also make it difficult to bookmark a particular state of the application. Solutions to this problem exist, many of which use the URL fragment identifier (the part of a URL after the ‘#’) to keep track of, and allow returning to, the application in a given state.
Teamwork in my book, is a group of individuals passionately committed to their end goal. When groups have common goals, teamwork is essential to success.
There are strong skills needed for the teams success: 1.Respect for individual contributions 2.Putting aside individual glory 3.Clear communication 4. Compromise
Teamwork = balance between the roles played by the different team members
Home Depot Homepage: The business has a good home page covering every aspect need to reach the customer. Cliental can easily access what ever it is they need, whether it be home décor, new projects or they just might want some ideas on home improvement. The homepage has a great slide show of visual clips that a customer will see first thing. I liked the slide show because it automatically pulls you in to see numerous things Home Depot can help you do.
Lowes Homepage: Lowes is another home improvement store just like Home Depot above. Lowes homepage has a lot of resemblance according to the set up. It covers everything that a home owner would come in contact with. The thing about Lowes that’s different from the Home Depot page, was that Lowes has visual Tools as a icon link rather as Home Depot they have tools as a plan link, no image.
Dillards Homepage: As a lot of you know Dillards is a pretty popular clothing store. Many people do all online shopping when it comes to fashion. Dillards has a good Web page all together. Even there Home page is a good attention getter. Online shoppers choose a lot stores to check out, so attention getter is important, along with being trustworthy.
Drive Time Used Auto Homepage: This is a used car dealership that can approve you for a loan in order to get a good car through them. That’s all you get on this homepage. This homepage will not let you go anywhere tell you type in personal information. The client can not see what the business has to offer. This page would be more successful if it was to give more information which would maybe make the business seem more trustworthy.
Cultivating a reputation as an honest straight talking person, no matter how bad the truth, results in most trusting you when you speak.
Integrity simply means, being honest with yourself. Integrity is a strong aspect of the web design. It reflects not only your personal sense, but your work quality. When you are honest with yourself, only then can you be honest with others. When you are honest with yourself, then you can look at situations and people from a point of clarity that does not exist otherwise. To cultivate honesty you must look at reality as it is and not what you hope it will be, want it to be or expect it to be; just what it is. As you develop that level of honesty with yourself, then you become better at seeing the world as it really is, for what it really is.When you are honest with yourself, only then can you be honest with others. Interestingly, people with integrity don’t complain much. People with integrity have the maturity to address their issues with the right people. They take responsibility to seek and take action toward solutions to their problems. They do what they say they will do. They have the willingness to create a plan (work and/or personal) and follow it through.http://www.ehow.com/how_4746291_restore-integrity-personal-work-life.html
There are many ways the web can make life more enjoyable. I love how I can jump online and everything I need is right there. Web designing became a great interest to me when I was introduced to the graphics that play a key role on web pages. Graphics I believe, takes some good imagination to make a successful page. I am a student at Francis Tuttle http://www.ftclass.com/, and I am beginning a new step into the web design world. I have a close relative that is a developer for Disney. He was the one that showed me what the web world was like. Now, I want to learn as much as I can to be a productive Web Designer. The course I am in, I feel will teach me a lot about this designer field. The only fear I have, is the competition I will face. I’ve studied a little into how far we’ve come with computer technology since 1991. http://www.artversion.com/blog/very-first-website.html I can proudly say, I am excited to be apart of the future in the Web Industry.
